Who we are
A team that only does bathrooms
We have spent years renovating the same kind of room in Alicante. That repetition is what lets us give real timescales and prices that do not move.
We were born out of the same complaint, over and over
The same story again and again: a job that starts on a Monday and drags on for three weeks, a quote that goes up because of items nobody explained, and a phone that nobody answers any more.
We set up Arregla mi hogar to do exactly the opposite, and to do it in one kind of room only. We work on bathrooms because that is where the plumbing, the waterproofing and the tiling all come together, and that is where most jobs go wrong.
Always doing the same thing has one unglamorous but very useful advantage: we know how long each stage really takes, which materials last and what turns up behind a wall built in the eighties.

Four commitments
They are not a slogan. They are the four things you would hold against us if we did not deliver them.
One price, not a range
The quote you sign is the one you pay. If something unexpected turns up when the wall is opened, we talk it through and get it approved before carrying on.
One person on the phone
You are not going to have to coordinate the plumber, the tiler and the electrician yourself. That is our job.
The house stays as it was
We protect floors, doors and communal areas, and we clean up at the end of each day. Living through the work is quite enough.
We say what can actually be done
If your floor structure will not take a fully flush shower, we tell you at the visit. We would rather lose the job than promise something that cannot be delivered.
How we fit your porcelain
Laser level
Before the first piece is stuck down, everything is set out with a laser: the horizontal, the vertical and the falls on the tray. If the setting out is two millimetres out, by the end of the wall it is two centimetres.
Suction cups and a large-format vibrating tool
A 120 × 280 slab is not placed by hand or tapped with a rubber mallet. It goes up on suction cups with two people and is bedded in with an electric vibrating tool, which spreads the adhesive and drives the air out from underneath.
Levelling clips
Every joint gets its clip and its wedge. They force two adjoining pieces to sit in exactly the same plane while the adhesive sets, and they remove the lip you can feel when you run your hand over it.
High-adhesion adhesives
High-performance porcelain adhesives, H40 type. Rectified porcelain absorbs almost no water, so ordinary adhesive does not grip: it needs one formulated for that material.
Double buttering
Adhesive on the wall and adhesive on the back of the piece. That is twice the material and twice the work, and it is the only thing that guarantees no voids behind large formats.
Waterproofing before tiling
In the shower area, the tray area and the junctions are waterproofed before anything goes on top. It is the item most often left out of cheap quotes and the one that causes water to reach the neighbour.
None of this can be seen once the job is finished, and that is why almost nobody talks about it. We would rather show it: it is where the craft is, and it is what explains why we can guarantee the installation for two years in writing.
Quality and brands
Taps
Top range
Standard range
We work with seven brands so we can match the taps to the budget without dropping the quality.
WCs and bidets
Top range
Standard range
Available across the whole colour chart, including the greens and browns that hardly anyone supplies any more.
Shower screens
We work with
Toughened glass, 6 and 8 mm, with an anti-limescale treatment, in chrome, black or gold.
Bathroom accessories
We work with
Towel rail, roll holder and soap dish sets to match the taps.
Everything we fit is top quality and rectified. We do not work with own-label brands or seconds. Rectified means the piece is squared off after firing, so they all measure exactly the same and the joint can come down to two millimetres. It costs more to buy and it is slower to lay, and it is the only way large formats come out right.
Always with licences and permits
A bathroom renovation touches communal areas: the lift, the entrance hall and, sometimes, the soil pipe. Doing it without paperwork is cheap right up to the day there is a problem.
Notice to the building manager
We get in touch with the building manager and give written notice of the start of the work, with dates.
Photographic record
We photograph the entrance hall, the lift and the communal areas before the first tool goes in. There is a record of how they were.
Licence from the council
We apply for whichever licence or self-certified declaration the work requires, and we hand you a copy when we finish.
All three procedures are included in the quote. You do not have to speak to anyone, and when we leave there is no paperwork outstanding.

Come and see it before you decide
We have a shop with a showroom. You can handle the trays, see the screens with their frame finishes and compare large-format porcelain. A material on a screen and a material in your hand are not the same thing.

Shall we come and see your bathroom?
A visit, a survey and a fixed price in writing. From there it is your decision.
